Positive Thinking

Life can get pretty complicated.

But sometimes, all it takes is a simple thought to make a big difference. This is the power of positive thinking:  Every positive thought is like taking a step forward.

What is a Positive Thought?
A positive thought is like a little ray of sunshine in your mind. It's when you focus on the good things in life, even when things seem tough. Instead of saying, "I can't do it," you say, "I'll do the best I can do!”

When you think positively, you start to see solutions instead of problems. It's like turning on a flashlight in a dark forest - it helps you find your way. Positive thinking makes you feel better and gives you hope.

Every positive thought you have is a step forward in life. It might not be a huge leap, but those little steps add up over time. They can lead you to big and wonderful places.

Positive thinking isn't just good for your mind; it's good for your body too. It can reduce stress and make you feel happier. When you're happier, it's easier to smile and enjoy life.

Your positive thoughts can be like a contagious smile. When you think positively, you inspire others to do the same. It's like a chain reaction of happiness!

Even when things get tough, remember that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Instead of thinking, "This is too hard," think, "What can I learn from this?” It's all about perspective.

Positivity is simple, but it's a superpower that can make your world better.

Wishing You Nothing But Success!

Embrace Your Imperfections

Social media would have us believe that everybody else’s life is perfect. But it is important for us to understand the beauty of embracing our imperfections. We all have quirks and unique qualities that make us who we are, and that's something to celebrate.

Imperfections are the little things that make each of us one-of-a-kind. They could be something physical, like a scar or a unique birthmark, or something about our personalities, like being introverted or outgoing. These imperfections are what set us apart from one another.

It is our quirks and differences that make us interesting and beautiful. When you embrace your imperfections, you are giving yourself a gift – the power of self-acceptance. It means being comfortable with who you are and not trying to be someone else. That's where your true strength lies.

Accepting your imperfections can do wonders for your confidence and self-worth. Instead of spending energy hiding your flaws, you can focus on your strengths and talents, which will help you feel better about yourself. Not only should you embrace your own imperfections, but you should also celebrate the differences in others. Everyone has their unique quirks and qualities, and that's what makes the world an interesting place.

Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same kindness you would offer a friend. When you embrace your imperfections and love yourself for who you are, it becomes easier to extend that love and acceptance to others.

So, go ahead and embrace your quirks and let your authentic self shine. Being yourself is the most perfect thing you can be.

Do you have a daring entrepreneurial spirit? Are you often told to play it safe, stay within your comfort zone, and avoid taking risks? Well, it's time to silence those naysayers and unapologetically dream big.

Before we delve into the importance of dreaming big, let's address the elephant in the room - failure. Failure is a word that brings fear to many, but before you can boldly embrace success, it's crucial to reframe your mindset. Failure is not an ending; it's a necessary component of success. Every successful person has encountered failure at some point in their journey. They understood that failure is merely a temporary setback that can provide valuable lessons. Embrace failure as a catalyst for growth, learning from your mistakes, and allowing yourself to pivot towards the right path.

Now that we've shattered the myth that failure is something to be feared, let's talk about dreaming big. We sometimes downplay our ambitions, doubting our abilities and fearing judgment. But no more! Dreaming big is not a luxury; it is a necessity. It's about envisioning a future where your potential blossoms, your impact amplifies, and your success knows no bounds.

By embracing audacious dreams, you set your journey on a trajectory to greatness. Think beyond the confines of limitations imposed upon you and dare to challenge the status quo. Dreaming big fuels your passion, ignites your motivation, and propels your innovation. It's in these grand dreams that you'll discover the transformative power within you.

However, dreaming big alone is not enough. You must take courageous action, dare to fail, and persevere in the face of adversity. Remember, one doesn’t succeed because they never fail; they succeed because they aren't afraid of failure. So, take that leap of faith, launch that business idea, take that trip, engage in that relationship, and embark on your adventure with boldness and determination. Go out there and dare greatly, because you are destined for extraordinary things.

Face it – we live in a world filled with challenges and uncertainties. A world that requires a bold approach to succeed.  But what if I told you that all it takes to unlock your potential and shape your future is a dash of unwavering optimism? It is time to embrace the power of positivity and let optimism create your destiny.

Optimism - a mindset of hope and positivity - is the key that sets successful people apart. It lights the fire within us, pushing us to overcome hurdles, seize opportunities, and make our dreams a reality.
But how exactly does optimism shape our destiny?

When we believe in ourselves and our abilities, we create a sense of undeniable confidence that attracts success. By imagining a bright future and embracing the possibilities, we send out energy that makes others believe in us too. Through our optimistic outlook, doors open, and opportunities come our way.

Furthermore, optimism fuels resilience - the ability to bounce back when things go wrong. As we go through life, setbacks are bound to happen. However, an optimistic mindset lets us view obstacles as stepping stones rather than roadblocks. With unwavering optimism, we can learn from challenges, adapt, and emerge stronger, ready to conquer the next hurdle.

Optimism is contagious. We have the power to inspire and uplift others with our positive attitude. Our positive, optimistic energy creates a ripple effect that motivates our team, our partners, our families.  We create an environment that leads to growth, innovation, and collaboration. The world thrives on positivity.  We have the unique opportunity and responsibility to influence those around us positively.

Embrace the power of optimism and use it to create your destiny, one bold step at a time.

Hey there, beautiful souls! Today, I want to talk about a topic that is close to my heart – our unique inner beauty. In a world that often focuses on external appearances, it's crucial to recognize and celebrate the beauty that lies within each and every one of us.

Society bombards us with unattainable standards of beauty, dictating what is considered "ideal" and leaving many of us feeling inadequate. But let me tell you, my friends, your true beauty shines from within, regardless of your physical appearance.
.
It's in the confidence we exude when we walk into a room, the kindness we show to others, and the authentic love we have for ourselves. It's in the way we support and uplift each other, fostering an atmosphere of empowerment and fellowship. Our inner beauty is a force that can move mountains and change lives.

Your unique inner beauty is what sets you apart, what makes you special. Embrace it wholeheartedly.

The next time you look in the mirror, smile and recognize the beautiful soul staring back at you. You are a testament to strength and resilience. You are a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding everyone around you of the power that lies within.

You are beautiful, my friend, in every sense of the word.

YOU ARE ENOUGH!
10/30/2023

In a world that constantly bombards us with unrealistic expectations, it's time to remind yourself that you are enough! Just as you are.

We live in a society that often promotes a narrow definition of beauty, success, and worth. Mainstream and social media constantly feed us images of people who fit into  preconceived molds,  and anyone not meeting these  standards is often left to question their abilities, contributions and worth.  But, here's the truth: YOU ARE ENOUGH! Just as you are.

Embracing who you are is a powerful act. Take ownership of your uniqueness. Your resilience, strength, and beautiful imperfections are yours alone. Your voice, your perspective, and your experiences matter. No one else can tell your story or walk in your shoes with the same grace and resilience. So, stand tall, take up space, and proudly own your greatness.

Every step you take towards self-acceptance and self-love is a victory. Treat yourself with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how big or small. Perfection is a myth, and it is your unique qualities that make you shine. Embrace the journey of self-discovery, learning, and growth. Keep challenging yourself and pushing boundaries, knowing that every step will lead you closer to full expression of the person you already are - let the world see you!

YOU ARE ENOUGH!. Keep shining your light and inspiring others to do the same.

ON MY MIND...Find Your Passion!!

10/8/2017

What is your passion?
Do you know what it is? And, what are you doing to feed it?
How often do we have that sense of something we were meant to be doing, but come up with multiple excuses to not do so. Sometimes it is mere procrastination. Sometimes it is fear or anxiety. Sometimes we overthink and talk ourselves out of something. Sometimes we let life get in the way. Sometimes others tell us how ridiculous we are being – and we believe them!!

We need to learn to trust our gut instincts. That primal sense that knows what is most in sync with our being, that leaps for joy at our passions. Yes, I know there are many realities and responsibilities we have to deal with, - family, friends, jobs, school, health, finances, community, politics, climate change, social issues, global unrest, and on and on and on. But maybe, just maybe, we can take a moment each day to feed that which is most essentially us.

This is not to say to run off on a whim every time a new idea pops into your head. It is of course wise to research and plan and seek advice. But, how many times do we hear that little voice saying “wouldn’t it be neat to…?” but we let the moment pass or immediately come up with all the reasons it is not feasible.  Or how often do we find ourselves saying “I have always wanted to…” and let it lie as just a mere wish.  And how many “I wish I could…”s repeatedly come into our heads with no follow-through.

At least write these thoughts down!! You will discover patterns and themes that will point you toward your passion. Writing these down makes them concrete, real. Now you can begin the process if actually making a plan to chase your passion! It is often the case that if you are devoting time to actually going after what you are passionate about, you have more energy and motivation to tackle all the other important, necessary and mundane tasks and obligations in your life. Chasing your passion energizes you. You will become more effective in the other arenas in your life.

So don’t be afraid to trust your gut. Find your passion!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!
As we embark on a new year once again, our thoughts turn to resolutions – or as I prefer to think of them, goals and plans. I use these terms because they are more active and involve creating specific steps to accomplish specific achievements rather than wishing and hoping. I have said it before and I will say it again  (and again no doubt!) the first step to accomplishing great things is to write down your goals and the steps to getting there. It sounds simple, yet so many of us keep our ideas in our heads and wonder why we have not gotten to where we want to go. The New Year is a great time to take stock and reflect on where we have come, and set some concrete markers for where we want to go next.

To help you get started on your New Year endeavors, I am offering my Goal Setting Seven Dollar Seminar for FREE in January, 2016.  Click here to access the seminar.  One of my goals this year is to bring you more seminars, so keep your eyes out for them. The plan is to roll out one new seminar each month on the 20th of the month (see what I did there? That’s a SMART goal!).
Best wishes for a happy, healthy, safe, fun and productive New Year!!

A New Attitude

1/19/2014

Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar once said, “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” As 2014 begins, how high is your attitude taking you? I consider myself to be a pretty positive person. Yet as I take inventory, I I realize I had let some toxic attitudes to enter into my psyche during the past year. Fear, regret, and grumbling about current circumstances had settled in. I had retreated into my head, overthinking every move, systematically cataloguing all the things that had gone wrong and could go wrong in the future as I thought about moving forward. Needless to say, my altitude was uncharacteristically, for me, low. But God is good! Through a series of seemingly random events I was reminded of the power within myself to accomplish my goals if I just believe in my ability to do so. I was reminded to rely on my faith that has carried me so far in the past and will do so again into the future. God said “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”— Isaiah 41:10

So, I am back! I have decided to let go of the fear, regret and grumbling and to step out on faith to make some changes and finally achieve the goals I have been struggling with. Believing that I will be successful has already reaped some benefits – I have been able to recognize opportunities around me that I could not see when I was in my funk. Some of the challenges have fallen away or been resolved. I wake up renewed and determined to put plans into place. I am still a work in progress – there is a lot to do to get where I want to go. But I am now cultivating an attitude of courage and excitement.

Whether you find your inner strength from God, Jesus Christ, some other Higher Power, the love and support of those around you, or another source, find your inner strength. There is no challenge out there that cannot be overcome – but you have to take action!. Belief in yourself and y our inner strength opens you up to new ideas and pathways through the wilderness of life, allows you to withstand the storms, and gives you the strength and peace to persevere.

I wish you and you’re a happy, healthy, prosperous, and blessed 2014.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

Do You Believe You Can Fly?

5/27/2013

In a recent conversation, a young gentleman stated, “ I think the reason so many people are afraid of change is because  they don’t know what change looks like.” How true this is. Human beings are creatures of habit – our comfort zone is what we know, often even if what we know is uncomfortable. The unknown, the unpredictable, can be very scary. So we shy away from making significant changes in our lives unless somebody can show us the way. Unfortunately this often leaves us following somebody else’s path, not our own. It feels safer to tread the beaten path - even if it is not going exactly where we want to go – than to beat down the bushes ourselves into the unknown. Yet change is inevitable. The times will change around us; we will keep aging and growing; by subtle increments, our lives are not the same today as they were yesterday, and tomorrow they will be different again. The question is will you take charge of the direction of change in your life or just let it happen. Are you setting goals for your life or are you accepting what lands on your plate? Setting goals lets you put a face on the changes you want for your life – allows you to create a vision for your future. If you can create a picture of what change looks like, won’t this make you less afraid to go after what you want? A popular song by R Kelly says "If I can see it, then I can do it…If I just believe it there’s nothing to it. I believe I can fly."  Do you believe you can fly?
