Sorting Through My Feelings
After a traumatic brain injury, it’s completely normal to experience a wide range of emotions—grief, anger, confusion, fear, even moments of hope or determination. These feelings may come in waves, shift from day to day, or show up when you least expect them. There’s no “right” way to feel. The challenge isn’t to avoid these emotions, but to recognize them, honor them, and gradually learn to move through them. Over time, with support and self-compassion, even the hardest feelings can become stepping stones—guiding you toward renewed hope, reclaimed strength, and a deeper understanding of who you are becoming.
